Trheingold double-deck car transportation wagon, type DDm
Trheingold will manufacture the wagon belonging to the 3rd and 4th series, the most common; between the 3rd and the 4th series, the latter has a few minor improvements from previous series: different bogies, swan neck shaped FIAT design in place of 24 type and different and safer designed handrails.
The painting scheme of these wagons has been the object thru ought the years of numerous liveries and logos used by FS; from the dark slate grey livery, typical of the 3rd series, to the beige grey with red streak, typical of the 4th series, and to the medium grey one.
Trheingold will manufacture the wagons with all the different liveries (slate grey, beige grey with red streaks and medium grey)

CHASSIS
The support chassis is fabricated from three single piece units, two at each extremity in plastic, and one central in metal. These pieces are equipped with coupling joints which couple into each other that becomes one single unit and which is then fitted into the side frames body complete with support bars; this guarantees a simple assembly and eliminates undesirable play. The chassis is finely reproduced with all relevant details.
ISOSTATIC BOGIE
The bogie is equipped with the two sides connected to the centre of the bogie, which are free to pivot in respect of the play, and these rotational movements guarantee better contact between wheels and track in all conditions.
HANDRAILS
The handrails have been realized partly in metal and partly in plastic; those in metal fit in between the upper deck and the side frame bodies and between these and the chassis. Those in plastic have to be mounted in the provided locations easily visible on the side frame bodies themselves.
COUPLING
The extending coupling has been designed according to NEM standards.
